Over the course of these past few weeks, I've had some trial and error regarding this project, even though I have done it twice before. his project about a year ago, I have fallen in love with the process and found that I could make really cool glitches with AI. As you probably know, I've always found myself producing art because it helps me cope with my anxiety and depression. Ever since I've been home, my mental state has been better than ever, which is something I'm thankful for. Although, it has been hard for me to find something meaningful to make for art. Instead of trying to force something to be meaningful, I decided to just make something I thought was really fun and cool. I thought it would be cool if I asked AI to produce an image of celebrities that I really like and see what it would look like if they were taking their Presidential photograph. After getting a few of the images that I needed, I started on the audacity glitches because they were the ones I loved doing the most in the past but for some reason, they wouldn't produce any glitches, just blank, black screens. I moved on from this after. I then went on to try the text edit glitches because they were super easy. After that, I moved on to the data moshing. These are my personal least favorite because I still haven't mastered making a variety of different glitches. To me, they all look the same, and are difficult to find other varieties of glitches. I kept going back and getting more AI images because I remembered other celebrities that I really liked and wanted them to be a part of this project too. I started on the photoshopping glitches, which is something I didn't do last project because for some reason it wouldn't work but I figured it out this time and I love how they ended up turning out! I think they're actually my favorite out of all the glitches I've done so far. There are just so many things you can do to them. I LOVED playing around with the blending modes. They were able to change the entire look of the photo. Lastly, and after some trial and error, I tried doing some more audacity glitches since the first time it wouldn't work for me. I figured out that it was a simple button I pressed when getting the file from Photoshop. I didn't think that specific button mattered but, alas it started to work when I fixed it! After doing this project three times now, you would think I would understand what the different effects do but they always come out differently for me. I think what I have learned the most from this project is that you just need to be patient and let it happen the way it needs to happen. I have really liked just playing around and trying new things. I'll definitely do this in the future to make cool pictures and gifs!!!
