Project1 Brainstorm Blog

For this project, I am conflicted between two ideas. At first, I was interested in looking up the idea of “what does a computer dream about?” because I feel like no one really talks about it or at least I haven’t seen anything like that before. But when I was playing around with the AI, I had this interesting idea of futuristic aliens or robots doing jobs of 2023 like modelling, fashion, weatherman, chef, or businessman working on Wall Street. I ended up getting really interesting images based off of the words I used. At the beginning, I used a little bit of NightCafe but wanted to try out different programs that gave me a clearer, high-resolution picture. I then started to use DALL-E and wish I would have done this on my first attempt at this project. After DALL-E, I then went on to play around with MidJourney and just love this program. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough credits to continue producing ideas, but I really loved playing around and seeing what the AI had to tell me. I think it would be really interesting to do “what a computer dreams about?” but I wasn’t given back as good images as I did when I prompted the AI to make an alien/robot in a corporate setting. I’ll keep playing around different programs but I’m pretty happy with lots of the images that I got today. When I glitch over these pictures, I will want to be very intentional with what gets glitched and what doesn’t.
